5. When should I use a Wet Edge Extender?
Feast Watson Wet Edge Extender is an additive that increases the working time of all compatible moisture cured polyurethanes without affecting the thickness of the coating. Temperatures of 30°C and above, high humidity and high airflow rates and large areas present wet edge challenges. Feast Watson Wet Edge Extender helps to overcome problems that could be caused by the coating drying too fast including poor leveling, blisters and the presence of lap marking. Note: It is not advised to apply coatings when the temperature exceeds 35°C as they may dry too quickly under the roller, resulting in a substandard finish.
6. What is rejection? Rejection ranges from a change in a localised gloss level to an ‘orange peel’ appearance. It is caused by contaminants leaching out of the flooring affecting the curing of the finish.
7. Can Feast Watson sealers be used under water based top coats?
Yes, some Feast Watson sealers can be used under Enviromax and compatible* water based top coats. If using Feast Watson Quickstep, sand before applying Enviromax. Feast Watson Maxiprime can also be used.
8. How long will it be before I need to recoat?
Recoating of the floor is dependent on the amount of traffic the floor receives and the adherence to recommended maintenance schedules. Feast Watson Floorshine polish and Floor Clean are designed to help with restoring or maintaining the surface finish of your Feast Watson coated floors.
9. Can Feast Watson additives and thinners be used in moisture cured coatings of other brands?
