Once your floor is coated with Feast Watson coatings, it is important that the below measures are taken to prolong the life of your floor and maintain a professional finish.

Care of Floor after Coating
-
Coatings take approximately 7 to 14 days to cure after application of the last coat.
-
It is advised that only socks are worn on the timber floor for the first 72 hours after drying.
-
Avoid dragging furniture over coated surface.
-
For the first month only use a non-static mop. Do not wet or clean the floor
Protect the floor’s surface with mats & protective pads
-
Place mats at entrances and where possible place a mat on the inside as well as outside.
-
Use rugs in high traffic areas.
-
It is recommended that mats be placed on the timber floor 14 days after the coating is applied.
-
Ensure protective pads are on all furnishing floor contact points.
Filter Light with Curtains and Blinds
-
To avoid fading and discolouring of your timber floor, filter direct light with curtains and blinds.
Cleaning Your Timber Floor with Floorclean
-
Clean your timber floor weekly (or more if required) with a damp mop using Feast Watson Floorclean. Do not flood the floor.
-
Floorclean is also suitable for terrazzo, ceramic and lino floors.
-
Use an anti-static dust mop regularly to collect dust and debris
-
It is advised not to use vacuum cleaners because often the brushes on the vacuum head wear thin and the metal scratches the floor.
Rejuvenate your timber floors with Feast Watson Floorshine
-
Feast Watson Floorshine is a water based protective finish ideal for rejuvenating and lifting the gloss level of tired, worn floors. It is available in Gloss and Satin.
-
Floorshine is also suitable for vinyl tiles, terrazzo and marble floors.
